Willie makes the same four commitments to buyers and sellers today that he made years ago when he first entered the real estate business:
- Not only will I make sure your interests are met, but I’ll provide the integrity needed to help give you peace of mind throughout the buying or selling process.
- I will treat you with honesty.
- I will preserve your confidential information.
- I will keep you well-informed and advise you to the absolute best of my ability.

Although he was born in North Carolina, Willie has deep roots in South Carolina. He says his small-town Carolina upbringing has kept him humble over the years. Having had to work a garden, chop wood, slop hogs and haul buckets of coal to keep the fire in the stove burning, during cold winter nights helps one keep central heat and air in the proper perspective. As a boy growing up in semi-rural North Carolina, Willie remembers foraging for blackberries and collecting empty soda bottles to sell for spending money.
How kids made money was a lot different in New York than in a small town in Carolina. After relocating to New York at age 12, Willie worked a paper route, prepped food and made deliveries for a Italian grocery store, did laundromat duty, worked part time in a department store and checked coats at Friday night card games in order to keep himself in Pro Keds or Converse All Stars.
After high school, Willie spent the next four years in the Navy. He served as a Radar Operator on a Sixth Fleet oiler. He made replenishment cruises to the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and operated in the North Atlantic. He is proud of his time in the military and the GI Bill was important in financing his college education. Willie says that his time in the Navy was enlightening. He experienced firsthand what it means to work together, as members of the same crew, to complete a mission. The Navy taught him that we can overcome our differences if we always seek to achieve the common good.
After college Willie worked in real estate, bank operations, electronics manufacturing, inside sales and state government. He developed effective relationships with all kinds of people over the course of his career, and this has only made him even better prepared to meet your real estate needs. He says he enjoyed working for the people of South Carolina most of all.
Now, after leaving state government, Willie has found another way of helping the people of South Carolina. It is by going back to his roots in real estate. He is now helping South Carolinians make their dreams of homeownership come true.
